So far we've determined that if you live in Nashville and want to watch professional soccer your choices are limited, to say the least.
But if we take a look at our country's best amateur leagues, the picture is a whole lot different.
There are two amateur leagues that are about equal to each other. The first is the USL's Pacific Development League (or PDL). Don't let the name fool you ... it has, at the time of this writing, 68 teams in 8 division ranging from Vancouver to Bermuda and from Vermont to Houston.
Included in the Southeast Division are our own Nashville Metros. The Metros have been around since 1989, which is a very long time in soccer years. As news comes out about their 2010 season, I'll be sure to post it here.
